A 35-year old Namibian male who is under quarantine since returning from South Africa 12 days ago, tested positive of the COVID-19 virus, bringing the total number of active cases of the deadly virus to six (6).
So far, four (4) Namibians tested positive of the virus this week alone while under quarantine. They are part of those who returned from South Africa where 20 125 people tested positive and 397 lost their lives while 10 104 successfully recovered.
The Namibian Health and Social Services Minister Kalumbi Shangula added that the four Namibians do not display symptoms of COVID-19 and their conditions are said to be satisfactory.
Shangula announced on Saturday that this brings the number of positive cases in Namibia to 20 out of which 14 recovered successfully.
Globally, there are 5.22 million positive cases, 2.06 million recoveries and 338 deaths recorded as of today according to the World Health Organization.
